About SAC

The Association of Intellectuals for the Development of Science in Serbia – “The Serbian Academic Center” (SAC) was founded in 2011 to achieve goals in the field of scientific research activities and artistic creation. SAC was founded by prominent scientists (members of the Academy of Sciences and university professors).
The primary goal of SAC is to engage in the publishing activities of monographs and periodicals (books and scientific journals).
Other goals of SAC are: promotion of the development of science and art, promotion of scientific research and artistic creation, public advocacy and encouragement for the affirmation of science and art among young people, professional development, as well as protection of individual and collective rights of scientific and educated workers, artists and SAC members.

Economic Activity

“Serbian Academic Center” (SAC) performs the economic activity of “publishing books” – code 5811. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, SAC also performs other activities within the scope of its activities: publication of scientific journals and books, publication of scientific papers, translations, and services libraries and archival.
The goals of SAC are the development and implementation of professional research programs and projects, improvement of science development, improvement of scientific research work, encouraging science among young people, etc.

Radio achievement of SAC objectives:
1. Performs publishing activities and sells and exchanges monographic and periodical publications with other scientific and educational institutions, organizations and associations in the country and abroad;
2. Publishes monographic and periodical publications;
3. Cooperates with scientific, educational and cultural institutions, organizations and associations and economic subjects in the country and abroad;
4. Realizes scientific conferences, projects, manifestations, seminars, symposiums, consultations, and pieces of training;
5. Creates and realizes research programs, events and projects;
6. Acquires, translates, studies and preserves scientific and professional literature;
7. Actively participates in encouraging and affirming science among young people;
8. Performs other duties established by statute.

Organization

The Assembly is the highest body of the SAC. The Assembly consists of all its members. Members manage the SAC, directly or through their elected representatives in the bodies of the Association. The bodies of the SAC are: the Assembly, the Board and the Supervisory Board.
The SAC may establish its branch (agency, section, club, branch, etc.) without legal entity status. Also, the Association can join alliances and other associations in the country and abroad. The decision on merging and establishing a branch, at the proposal of the SAC Board, is made by the Assembly.
The association carries out its tasks through the departments for: natural sciences and social sciences. Within each department, sub-departments can be organized.
